General Surgery Physician Assistant Needed in Santa Monica, CA:
Start Date: June 2026
Contract Length: 3 months with option to extend
Schedule: We are looking for a provider who can cover about 8-10 weeks in both the clinic and hospital setting for a leave. The schedule will be full time coverage for this span of time (Monday-Friday). Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday shift times will vary. The provider will mainly be working inpatient and in OR. Wednesday is a block day (reserved for bigger cases). Monday & Thursday are lighter cases (mainly add on, assist surgeons, smaller cases). Tuesday and Friday will be roughly (8am-5pm although provider may end earlier around 2pm-3pm). They will be in the clinic these days. There will be no call with this position
Work Details:
The position will be surgical oncology/general surgery
Skills required: Provider must have strong OR and surgical skills. The position is PA first assist in cases so we need them to be experienced enough to work somewhat independent in the inpatient setting. Looking for providers with no less than 2 years of experience. They will need to know how to manage patient calls.
Practice Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
Requirements:
Board Certification: Yes
Minimum experience required: 2 years
DEA: Yes
Providers must have 25 general cases (notes, HMPs)
Providers must have 5 OR cases
Robotics experience and certification (please attach certification if you can to presentation)

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 Days
Active CA License
Medical malpractice insurance, travel, and lodging provided
