Locum PA/NP General Surgery - WA license

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum services in an inpatient General Surgery setting in Walla Walla, WA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NP or PA with strong surgical experience looking for full-time coverage starting March 2, 2026.

🏥 Job Details:
Specialty: General Surgery – Inpatient
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
No weekends, no call

Contract Length: ongoing (potential to extend)
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Responsibilities:

First assist in OR for general surgery cases
Rounding and prepping discharges
Coordination of care for surgical patients
Document care in Epic EMR


✅ Requirements:

Active Washington NP or PA license (compact accepted for NP)
Board Certification required
Minimum 2 years experience in general surgery with first assist skills
Epic EMR experience required


📋 Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
Interview with department leadership
