This medical center is a critical access hospital serving the Kodiak Island community, providing essential surgical and inpatient care to residents of this remote Alaskan region. The facility features an 8-bed department with on-site lodging available just a 2-minute walk from the facility, making it an convenient and comfortable assignment.

Job Details:

• Provide general surgery call coverage for set shift dates: October 20 through November 4 and November 18 through December 2
• Coverage is inpatient, call-only with 24-hour beeper call for the duration of each assignment period
• Shift times are 7a to 7a with 4-5 patient encounters per shift
• Active Alaska medical license required - no out-of-state or IMLC licenses accepted
• Active Alaska DEA must be in place prior to start date
• Clean file required - providers with settlements, DUIs, drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible
• Board certification required
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and ATLS
• Required skills include general surgery and laparoscopic surgery including hernioplasty
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
