Clinical Details

Setting: Inpatient – General Surg
Patient Population: Adults
Support Staff: PA/NP
EMR: Cerner
Department Size: 33 surgical beds; 24-bed ED
Daily Census: ~5 patients per shift
Supervision Model: Independent general surg call coverage

Procedures & Responsibilities

Core general surg: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and bowel surg

Management of general surg emergencies

Inpatient consults and operative interventions as needed
