Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General

Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for general surgery services
• Handle bread and butter general surgery cases including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, "lumps and bumps," and abscess drainage
• Perform endoscopy procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
• Conduct appendectomy, small bowel and colon surgery procedures
• Must be board certified with clean background highly preferred
• No recent or open malpractice cases required
• Must have active North Carolina license and North Carolina DEA with NC address
• Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled with PECOS
• Must be credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid
• Experience required in adult and pediatric general surgery, trauma, and laparoscopic procedures
• GI endoscopy experience required for both upper and lower procedures
• Vascular surgery experience required including thoracic and abdominal procedures
• Must be within 20 minutes of facility during call periods
• On-site hospital-owned apartments provided for accommodation
• Travel expenses capped at $500
• EMR system is Meditech 6.1
• 4 hours gratis daily required, preferably bulked
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
