About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide general surgery call coverage on 24-hour shifts, with call required during nights and weekends, at an established inpatient facility in North Carolina. Primary responsibilities include performing inpatient surgical procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, bowel obstruction management, incision and drainage, EGD, amputation, and strangulated hernia repair, averaging 65 surgical cases per month. ICU and critical care procedures are required; the clinician will not be expected to respond to codes. Board certification in General Surgery is required, and the position is on-site with continuous availability expected to support both scheduled and emergent surgical needs.
