Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens assignment with an anticipated end date of late December 2026, in support of an ongoing permanent physician search
- Providers with GI capabilities are highly preferred
- Must hold an active North Carolina medical license with a clean history
- Drive-in candidates are preferred; RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport) is the closest airport
- On-site call rooms available as well as nearby local hotel accommodations
- Board certification required; credentialing timeframe is approximately 3-4 days
- Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Perform general surgery procedures for adult patients; pediatric experience preferred
- Laparoscopic surgery required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty; Nissen fundoplication preferred
- Breast surgery required; head/neck surgery (including thyroid) and chest wall/pleural procedures preferred
- GI endoscopy (upper and lower, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy) preferred
- Minor orthopedics required; hand surgery preferred
- Chest tube insertion required; central line insertion and PA catheter placement preferred
- Vascular surgery skills required, specifically vascular access devices
- Plastic surgery experience preferred
- All overtime and callback require notes or MRN documentation
- NC license required; IMLC not accepted
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
