Job description

Aya Locums is partnering with a healthcare facility in Oregon seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to help relaunch and grow an established surgical program. This is a unique opportunity to step into a daytime-only schedule with no call, predictable hours, and the chance to shape patient volume as referrals ramp up.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: March 2026
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only — no call required
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime coverage
• Shift Length: 8-hour days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Commitment: Minimum of 2 weeks per month (weeks do not need to be consecutive)

• Specialty: General Surgery (Upper GI focus)
• Case Volume:
– Surgical days: Approximately 2–5 cases
– Scope days: Approximately 6–8 cases
– Clinic days: Typically 8–10 patients (flexible based on provider preference and referral flow)
• Procedures: Upper and lower endoscopy required; scopes represent a significant portion of practice

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• License: Active Oregon medical license
• DEA: Active and unrestricted
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120–180 days
