Assignment Highlights

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months (assignment dependent on permanent recruitment)
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage
Typical Coverage: Approximately 1 weekend per month and 1 week per month
Weekend Call: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
Additional weekday call opportunities available based on provider availability

Practice Details

Practice Setting: Hospital
Inpatient call coverage only (no outpatient clinic responsibilities)
EMR: Epic
Hospital Size: 163 beds
Average Callback: 2–6 hours per 24-hour call shift
Scope of Practice: Broad-spectrum general surgery call with a wide range of general surgery cases

Requirements

Board Certified in General Surgery
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
DEA required
Robotic surgery experience preferred, but not required

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 60–120 days
Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean credentialing file
