Location Description - Our town is located in Prince Edward County in the Central Virginia region of Virginia. Longwood University lies in the heart of our town, and Hampden-Sydney College, one of the oldest colleges in the country, is located approximately ten minutes outside the town.

Named “one of the best new golf courses of 2007” by Golf Digest Magazine, the Manor Resort Golf Club features an 18 hole championship golf course. Another great outdoor feature of our town is the Dick Cross Wildlife Management Area, which is nationally known for hosting bird dog field trials on its 1400 acres of diverse wildlife.
