Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon for a breast surgery locums opportunity in Spokane, Washington! This position offers a combination of outpatient clinic and operating room coverage, flexible scheduling options, and no call requirements.

Opportunity Highlights:

Mix of outpatient clinic and breast surgery

Monday and Wednesday OR days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday clinic coverage, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Full-time coverage preferred

Part-time coverage (0.5 FTE) and alternative schedules considered

No call required

Approximately 8-month assignment

Approximately 12 patients per shift

Outpatient practice setting

Epic EMR

Coverage for a provider on leave

Approximately 90-day credentialing timeframe

Clinical Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient surgical consultations and follow-up care

Evaluate and manage patients requiring breast surgery

Perform appropriate surgical procedures

Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary surgical team

Provide preoperative and postoperative care

Requirements:

Board Certified in General Surgery

Active Washington medical license required

DEA registration required

ACLS certification required

General surgery experience

Fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology preferred

Comfortable providing both clinic and operating room coverage
