Locums General Surgeon Needed in West Virginia!

Job description

Specialty: General Surgery
Start Date: 8/3/26
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: 7am Friday – 7am Monday
Schedule: Weekend Call Coverage

Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 1 weekend per month
• Patients per day: Approx 15-20
• Department description: General surgery and GI (scopes, GI bleeds, etc.)
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital bed size: 160
• Special procedures: Must be comfortable with General Surgery and GI coverage specifically scopes and GI Bleeds

Practice Setting: Hospital

Requirements:
• Board Certification: required
• State license required: required, IMLC or providers that qualify for the WV temp license accepted
• DEA: required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum experience required: at least 1 year

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

Willing To License?: YES, IMLC or WV temp license
