This hospital is a well-established healthcare facility serving the greater Portage community with comprehensive surgical services. The facility features a 20-bed department with Level 4 trauma capabilities, providing quality care in a supportive environment with strong physician support and modern medical technology.

Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General

Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive general surgery services with 4 patient encounters per shift
• Perform upper and lower endoscopy procedures - this is a critical requirement
• Handle adult general surgery cases with pediatric surgery preferred
• Conduct laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy and cholecystectomy
• Perform GI endoscopy including upper endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
• Manage trauma cases as preferred capability
• Chest wall/pleural procedures, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion preferred
• PA catheter placement capabilities preferred
• Must maintain Wisconsin medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Act 10 acceptable position
• Lodging available at Best Western Portage with easy access to Madison airport (MSN)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
