Job description
MEDICAL DIRECTOR – PERMANENT, FULL-TIME
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversee high-quality, coordinated care for older adults. This is an onsite leadership opportunity for a physician passionate about geriatric care, clinical excellence, and improving patient outcomes.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
✓ Provide medical leadership and oversee participant care and clinical outcomes.
✓ Supervise, guide, and mentor primary care providers and other clinical staff.
✓ Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
✓ Lead and support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
✓ Collaborate with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and community healthcare providers.
✓ Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation.
✓ Ensure accurate clinical documentation and effective use of electronic medical records.
✓ Support medication management, pharmacy coordination, and advance care planning.
✓ Promote person-centered care that supports older adults in maintaining their independence and quality of life.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
✓ MD or DO degree with an active Louisiana medical license.
✓ Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Geriatrics preferred.
✓ Minimum 1 year of experience caring for frail or elderly populations.
✓ Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
✓ Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
✓ Current BLS certification.
✓ Current DEA registration and Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification.
