✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Conduct neuropsychiatric assessments for conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and late-life depression using tools like the MoCA and Geriatric Depression Scale
✔️ Collaborate with neurologists and palliative care teams to tailor treatment plans for patients with Parkinson’s, Lewy body dementia, and terminal illnesses
✔️ Review medications for polypharmacy risks and deprescribe where appropriate, while managing agitation with targeted therapies
✔️ Guide residential care facilities on non-pharmacological approaches to sundowning, wandering, and behavioral issues
✔️ Coordinate with primary care providers and memory care units to ensure holistic patient care

✅ What We’re Looking For
✔️ Active California Medical License
✔️ Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry (or extensive equivalent training)
✔️ ABPN Certification
✔️ DEA Certification

✅ Schedule Options
Full-Time (FTE)
✔️ 8-hour day shifts
✔️ Includes 12–14 medication reviews, 3–4 geriatric assessments, and palliative consultations

Part-Time (PTE)
✔️ 4–6 hour shifts
✔️ Focus on morning visits to residential facilities
