Midwife Needed in Boston, MA
Start Date: July 2026
Contract Length: 3 months with option to extend
Schedule Details: 12hr shifts, 7a-7p or 7p -7a. Needing 2 providers, 1 to work days, and 1 to work nights. Shifts needed right now are July 6-10 and July 13-17
Work Details:
• EMR/Charting Software: epic
• Avg. Daily Census: 4 to 5 deliveries but could be up to 20.
• Patient Age Group: adults and infants
• Procedures: Triage calls, and supporting residents. Manages postpartum care, Intrapartum care, and OB triage. There is NO first assist. The locum MUST have hospital base experience. This is a high acuity assignment. There is inpatient delivery and post op care and ambulatory care. Locum would be taking calls during shift. They will need to be able to read fetal monitoring. The locum will support residents as well. Provides consultation services. Completes history and physical examinations and laboratory tests as appropriate. Continues assessment and teaching throughout pregnancy as indicated by documentation. Manages normal labor and conducts delivery, including assessment of maternal and fetal status. Identifies deviations from normal, management of the third stage, management of episiotomy and perineal repairs.
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d: yes
• State License(s): MA
• Certifications: NRP and BLS
• Years of Experience Req’d: 3 years. Needs to have hospital based expereince
Credentialing Timeframe: emergency privs
Willing To License?: no
