LOCUM- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ICU)

PLEASE READ:

Looking for an April 1 start but we wanted to note that privileging will take 60-90 days so provider will not be able to start until that process is completed.

We are looking for a provider who can cover 14 shifts a month (12hr shifts). Tuesday- Monday work schedule. Both day and night shift coverage will be needed, shift times are:
Day Shift: 6am-6pm
Night Shift: 6pm-6am

Please ensure the bid reflects the following:
Guaranteed Hours: 12 per day
OT to apply after 12 hours per day

They would more than likely work 7 day shifts then be off for 7 days then work 7 night shifts. Not 100% of the time but this is a typical shift set up in a month.

We would prefer one provider to cover all 14 days but will look at 2 with 7 days of availability each.

Provider is required to be an acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) due to the acuity on ICUs. We will not look at PA candidates.

Prefer a provider with 1-2 years of experience, if not the site will spend some time training with a shadow system.

Potential the provider could be placed on the NEURO - ICU : Neurology/neurosurgery patients , if they have neuro experience this would be an added bonus!

Day to Day responsibilities will include the following:
- Admissions
-Discharges
-Running Codes
-Procedures- intubation, central line, trialysis line , arterial lines (number of procedures can vary from none - 2 or 3 night in a 7 day week)
-Communication with internal floors and transfers

During the day there should be a physician there or at least available by phone. At night physician available by phone.

REQUIRED:
ACTIVE TX License and TX DEA
BLS AND ACLS REQUIRED

• $110/hr
• April 1st start date
