HAND SURGERY – LOCUM TENENS

We are seeking an experienced Hand Surgeon for locum coverage. Hand surgery fellowship is required.

SCHEDULE

✓ 24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
✓ Ongoing dates will be released as schedules are finalized
✓ Candidates must be available for the listed dates to be considered for ongoing coverage
✓ Candidates must specify how many shifts per month they can commit to ongoing

POSITION DETAILS

✓ Inpatient / Emergency Department / Level I Trauma
✓ Adult and geriatric patient population
✓ Approximately 5 admissions
✓ Coverage includes emergency department and transfer center calls
✓ Cases primarily involve hand injuries
✓ No reimplantation procedures
✓ EMR: Epic
✓ No dedicated support staff
✓ Coverage needed due to gaps in staffing

REQUIREMENTS

✓ MD/DO
✓ Hand Surgery Fellowship – REQUIRED
✓ Board Certified in Surgery of the Hand – REQUIRED
✓ Active Colorado medical license or active IMLC with LOQ in hand at submission
✓ Active DEA highly preferred and required for credentialing
✓ Clean malpractice and background
✓ Self-inquiry NPDB report preferred
✓ Candidates must be willing to meet all credentialing and EMR training requirements

EPIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

✓ Complete credentialing pre-application and full application promptly
✓ Complete required Epic learning modules before virtual training
✓ Complete virtual Epic training at least 1 week before the first shift
✓ EMR training must be completed before first-day details are released

✓ Years of Epic experience
✓ Most recent date Epic was used
✓ Most recent facility where Epic was used
✓ Best phone number for call shifts
✓ Personal email address
✓ Time zone for virtual Epic training
✓ Professional photo suitable for ID badge


CREDENTIALING

✓ Standard credentialing: 60–90 days
✓ Emergency privileges may be available in 1–2 weeks with a clean file
✓ Self-inquiry NPDB report required
✓ Pre-application and full application must be completed promptly for urgent dates
