Plastic Surgery and Hand Trauma
Job description
A healthcare facility in West Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon with Hand Trauma experience for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive hand, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery services.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (anticipated 8/31/2026)
Assignment Length: 6 months initially, with option to extend
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
Licensure Assistance: Yes – IMLC or West Virginia Temporary License accepted
Schedule
Coverage Needed: 1 week per month
Shift Schedule: Thursday 7:00 AM – Thursday 7:00 AM
Responsibilities: Clinic, OR, and Call Coverage
Clinical Scope
The ideal candidate will provide care across a broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including:
Hand trauma
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Trigger finger treatment
General hand surgery conditions
Body contouring procedures
Cosmetic surgery
Breast reconstruction for oncology patients
Required
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Active State Medical License (or eligible for licensure)
DEA Registration
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Demonstrated Hand Trauma experience
- 6 months to start with option to extend
- 1 week a month
- Hand Trauma experience required, experience with body contouring, cosmetic and breast reconstruction needed as well.
