Hematology/Oncology APP - Infusion Center California Locums

Contract Length: 24 weeks
Schedule: Full-time | 5x8s or 4x10s | Weekends required
Position Details

Setting: Outpatient hospital-based infusion center

Team: APPs, RNs, and MAs – collaborative but autonomous environment

Model: Consultative model — APPs work independently on referrals from oncology providers or nursing staff

Responsibilities:

Manage adverse reactions, transfers, and direct ED admissions

Conduct independent patient visits

Oversee oncology patient care from diagnosis through treatment

Procedures: None required (line removal preferred)

Patient Load: 8–10 per day | Adult population

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certification: One of the following – A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC

Licensure: Active California NP license required

DEA: California DEA with Schedule II authority

Experience:

2–3 years in oncology (specific disease management required)

Infusion experience preferred

Must have inpatient or high-acuity experience

BMT or hematology experience a plus

Certifications: OCN or AOCNP preferred
