Locums – Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Oncology, California

Specialty: Outpatient Oncology (NP)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Potential: Strong potential to convert to permanent; preference for long-term coverage
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only


Schedule & Coverage

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

FTE: Full-time

Call: None

Practice Setting

Outpatient clinic / private practice

Adult patient population

EMR: Epic (Beacon oncology module)

Patient Volume

Monday & Friday: 5–6 patients/day

Tuesday: 40–45 patients/day

Wednesday–Thursday: 30–35 patients/day

Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient oncology care

Chemotherapy management

Ordering and interpreting complex labs

Ordering imaging including CT, MRI, and PET scans

Ongoing oncology follow-up and coordination of care

Provider Requirements

Board Certification: ARNP / Certified FNP

Licensure: Active California license (required)

DEA: Required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years outpatient oncology experience (required)

Internal Medicine experience a plus

Preference for providers with prior Cedars experience

Certifications Required:

ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification

Certifications Preferred:

OCN or AOCN

Travel & Logistics

Compensation: All-inclusive rate

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

Interim Option: Provider may work in interim capacity to start ASAP
