Position Overview
Prestigious academic medical center seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a full-time outpatient oncology role supporting a high-volume Breast and GU Oncology service. This opportunity is ideal for providers with strong oncology experience who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented academic environments.

Practice Setting

100% outpatient oncology practice
Academic medical center environment
Hospital-affiliated clinic setting
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

Manage follow-up oncology visits and symptom management
Provide long-term oncology care and survivorship follow-up
Support emergent add-on patient needs
Serve as first line for patient escalations and clinical concerns
Manage Epic in-basket messaging and care coordination
Collaborate closely with attending oncologists, RNs, and clinic staff
No procedural responsibilities required

Department Focus

Heavy focus on Breast and GU Oncology
GU Oncology represents the majority of patient volume
Attending physicians manage new consults
APPs focus on ongoing patient management and continuity of care

Patient Volume

Approximately 6–8 scheduled patients per day

Support Structure

Dedicated RNs, MAs, and attending physician support
Collaborative multidisciplinary oncology team

Requirements

Active California NP license required
California DEA with Schedule II authority required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2–3 years of recent Oncology NP experience required
Strong Epic and technology skills required
Highly organized and comfortable managing outpatient workflows

Preferred Experience

Ambulatory/outpatient oncology experience preferred
Inpatient oncology experience also considered
Radiation Oncology experience preferred but not required
Academic medical center experience strongly preferred

Interview Process

1–2 interview rounds expected
