Job description

Aya Locums is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a full-time advanced practice opportunity supporting an infusion center and cancer acute care clinic. This is a highly autonomous role working alongside oncology teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on acute oncology patient management.

Providers with strong oncology inpatient experience or a combination of infusion and emergency/urgent care or critical care backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Practice Setting
-Outpatient infusion center and cancer acute care clinic
-Hospital-affiliated program
-Adult and adolescent patient population
-Full-time coverage needed

Position Highlights
-Manage urgent oncology care and same-day triage patients
-Evaluate adverse reactions and coordinate transfers/direct admissions
-Work closely with inpatient oncology and hospital services
-Autonomous APP role operating within a consultative care model
-APPs work directly from oncology referrals and independently manage patient issues

Medical Assistants

Patient Volume
-Approximately 10–12 patients per day

Skills & Experience Required
-Oncology inpatient experience strongly preferred OR Combination of infusion experience with emergency/urgent care or critical care background
-Experience managing oncology patients from diagnosis through treatment
-ACLS required
-Line removal experience preferred
-EMR: Epic

Requirements
For Physician Assistants:
-Active California PA license required
-Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required

For Nurse Practitioners:
-Active California NP license required
-Must hold one of the following certifications:
ACNP-BC
AGACNP-BC
ACNPC-AG
ACNPC

Additional Requirements
-California DEA Schedule II required

Preferred Certifications
-OCN, AOCNP, ACLS
