Job description

APP – Hematology/Oncology Infusion (NP/PA)
Location: Northern California – major metro area
Start Date: Early August 2026 (upon credentialing)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (ongoing potential)

Schedule
Full-time coverage (no call)
• 5x8s or 4x10s (day shifts)
• Weekend coverage required
• Full-time commitment required

Practice Details
Outpatient infusion center / cancer acute care clinic
Autonomous APP role within a collaborative oncology team
Works alongside APPs, RNs, and support staff
Consultative model driven by oncology referrals and acute patient needs
Average volume: ~10–12 patients per day
Adult and adolescent population
EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope
Independent patient evaluations and same-day triage
Manage infusion-related adverse reactions and urgent oncology issues
Coordinate transfers and direct admissions with ED/inpatient services
Provide ongoing oncology care from diagnosis through treatment
Collaborate with oncology providers and nursing staff on patient management
Central line management (removal preferred)
Document all care in EMR

Requirements
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active California license required at submission
NP must hold one of the following: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
PA must have Master’s degree in PA studies
Board certified
CA DEA (Schedule II) required
BLS (AHA) required; ACLS required
Oncology experience required (inpatient strongly preferred)
Alternative: infusion experience + ED/urgent care or critical care background
Experience managing oncology patients across the continuum of care

Credentialing
Standard credentialing: ~60–90 days
No emergency privileges available
