Locums – APP – Nurse Practitioner – Hematology/Oncology, Rhode Island

Job description

Start Date: April 6, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Shared Call
Location: Providence, RI
Assignment: Full-Time or 1–2 Weeks per Month

Schedule & Coverage

Monday–Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Shared rotational call coverage

Will consider full-time coverage or 1–2 weeks per month

Practice Setting

Combination of Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient Care

Hem/Onc physician onsite

EMR: 80% paper, 20% Meditech

Patient Volume

Outpatient: 18–22 patients per day

Inpatient: Varies based on consult volume

Inpatient rounding: Approximately 1–2 hours daily

Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient hematology/oncology visits

Inpatient consults and rounding

Collaboration with Hem/Onc physician

Shared call coverage

Requirements

Board Certification: Nurse Practitioner

Experience: Minimum 2 years Hematology/Oncology NP experience required

Licensure: Rhode Island license required

CSR & DEA: Required

Licensing: Willing to license (estimated 4–8 weeks)
