Position Summary
A specialized sleep center in the Maple Grove, MN area is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist II (RPSGT) for a night-shift travel assignment. The technologist will conduct overnight intake, set up and perform polysomnographic testing, ensure quality recordings, stage and score sleep events for physician interpretation, and mentor junior trainees as needed.
Core Responsibilities & Clinical Scope
Patient Intake & Preparation: Perform patient intake, distribute questionnaires, review study procedures, and initiate PAP trials/mask fittings.
Study Performance & Monitoring: Conduct polysomnographic studies, ensure quality, artifact-free signal recording, and monitor the patient (adult population) throughout the night.
Scoring & Reporting: Stage and score sleep events during testing and prepare scored studies for physician review and interpretation.
Specialized Diagnostics: Set up, download, and compile report data for Wrist Ox studies (including Customer MD Recommendation letters) and Actigraphy studies.
Shift Handoff & Discharge: Provide detailed patient updates to oncoming staff at shift change and deliver predetermined discharge information to patients.
Equipment & Administrative Support: Clean and disinfect equipment, triage department calls/faxes/emails, and assist with clinical record maintenance.
Submission & Qualification Requirements
Professional Registration: Active Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential [REQUIRED].
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of Polysomnography experience [REQUIRED].
Travel Experience: Prior travel assignment experience [REQUIRED].
Patient Population: Documented experience with the Adult population [REQUIRED].
EMR System: Documented experience using Epic EMR [REQUIRED].
Certifications: Active AHA or ARC BLS Certification [REQUIRED].

Specialty Skills Checklist (pertinent to polysomnography, current within 1 year).
2 Signed Supervisory References (must include dates of employment).
Active RPSGT Registration Document.
Active AHA or ARC BLS Certification Card.
Requested Time Off (RTO): All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial profile upload; post-submittal RTO requests will not be honored.
