Facility:
This well-established, physician-led medical group provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients in Santa Cruz County, affiliated with a 222-bed, Joint Commission accredited hospital recognized for superior quality and safety. The facility features a Premier Infusion Center with 15 private bays arranged around a central nursing hub, a 17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards, a rapid diagnosis clinic, and two radiation centers, all supported by a robust network of medical resources through one of the nation's largest health systems.

Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

  • Provide expert hematology and oncology care in an ambulatory setting utilizing a co-located infusion center for modern treatment delivery
  • See 13-18 patients per day, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Partner with navigators and social workers to ensure seamless, supportive patient journey from diagnosis through survivorship
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including nurse navigators, social workers, a pharmacy liaison for oral medications, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and dedicated RN staff
  • Access comprehensive clinical resources including the Katz Cancer Resource Center, clinical trials, tele-genetics, survivorship programs, and bereavement support
  • Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards, and rapid diagnosis clinic
  • Must hold an active California medical license
  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology required
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program required
  • Active DEA required
  • Clean malpractice and background history required
  • Credentialing timeframe up to 90 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
