About the facility

This assignment spans three locations across central Georgia, each providing specialized hematology and oncology services in clinic and inpatient settings. The facilities maintain infusion chair capacity (28 chairs at one location, 12 at another) and are supported by a team of six APPs, including a resource APP, along with registered nurse physician support. Clinical operations are structured to support coordinated hematologic and oncologic patient care across all three sites.

About the clinician's workday

The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient and clinic hematology and oncology coverage across three locations in central Georgia, managing 20-25 new and follow-up patients per day at locations 1 and 3, with volume to be determined at location 2. Coverage is structured Tuesday through Friday with participation in a weekday and weekend call rotation; shifts are 8 hours per day. The clinical scope excludes acute leukemia and bone marrow transplants; APPs perform bone marrow biopsies under physician oversight, and no additional procedures are required of the clinician. Board certification in both Hematology and Medical Oncology is required, along with recent clinical experience within the past year; a Georgia license is preferred.
