Most Hem Onc jobs promise “work‑life balance,” but this one in Kamuela, HI actually follows through. It’s outpatient only, no call, and about 15-20 patients a day MAX. If you’ve never been to Hawaii, don’t worry. You won’t be expected to paddleboard, pronounce every Hawaiian vowel correctly, or pretend you enjoy papaya on day one.
The clinic team is small, kind, and efficient. EPIC and Dragon are available so you can get home on time without typing yourself into carpal tunnel. No inpatient, no ICU, no leukemia inductions, and complex cases can be referred out, which means your stress level may reach dangerously low levels.
