Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed in Michigan City, IN | Outpatient Clinic + Consult Call | PRN

Job description

This is a PRN hematology/oncology opportunity in Michigan City, Indiana, combining an outpatient clinic with inpatient consult call. Clinic runs Monday–Friday, 8:00a–4:30p, over a three-to-four-month period, with seven-day call that includes inpatient rounding of up to two hours (in-house presence is not necessarily required). The assignment runs January 4, 2027 through May 15, 2027 — approximately 13 weeks. This is not a local role; candidates within 50 miles should not be submitted.

The physician manages an outpatient hematology/oncology clinic seeing roughly 20 patients per day, along with seven-day call that is consults only — there is no requirement to admit or discharge. Relevant skills include working knowledge of NCCN guidelines, chemotherapy treatment planning, and emergency response to medication side effects. The practice is well supported, with two physicians, two APPs, three RNs, and two MAs, and documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified, with an active Indiana license and DEA (or one easily transferable and left in Indiana). Epic experience is preferred.
