Medical Oncologist Needed in Minneapolis, MN (Will license)

Job description

Start Date: July 2026 (ASAP need)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with option to extend

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Inpatient service with 8–10 hour days
Overnight call from home, one week at a time (Monday 8:00 AM to the following Monday 8:00 AM)

Position Details:
Practice Setting: Hospital inpatient service
Focus on malignant and benign oncology cases
Responsibilities include leading the medical oncology team, supervising advanced practice providers, managing inpatient care, and handling new consults

Clinical Scope:
Must be comfortable with inpatient malignant medical oncology patients and a full range of hematology consults

Additional Responsibilities:
Same-day documentation required for inpatient care
Outpatient documentation expected same day, within a maximum of three days

Outpatient Coverage:
Shared coverage for hematology and medical oncology
Standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
No required call for outpatient, though optional coverage may be available

Support:
Nurse triage service and hospitalist support available
Low call volume

Requirements: Active Minnesota license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required

Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
