We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician – Hematology Oncology to join a reputable healthcare facility in Des Moines, IA.

Position Overview
Patient Population: Adult Hematology & Oncology patients
Practice Setting: Primarily Outpatient (95%) with Inpatient coverage (5%)
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care including patient assessments, development and management of treatment plans, chemotherapy management, therapy modifications, referrals for ancillary services, pain management, and end-of-life care. Coverage will include both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations.
Required Procedures: Hematology/Oncology consultations, chemotherapy management, inpatient and outpatient oncology care
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 1 RN or CMA per physician, imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and ancillary services
Coverage Needed: 4 clinic days per week (Monday–Thursday or Monday–Friday)
Call Requirements: Night call Monday–Friday while on service and 24-hour weekend call (schedule TBD)

Requirements
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology (preferred)
Board Certified in Oncology with Hematology experience will be considered
Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
Active Iowa Medical License or Active IMLC
Must be willing to cover both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations
Clean malpractice and background history
NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days)
