Hem/Onc Physician needed in MA - New Locums Opportunity

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a full-time Hematology/Oncology physician for a clinic and call opportunity in Massachusetts.

Assignment Details
-Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
-Ideal Start: August (flexible)
-Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
-Four clinical days and one administrative day each week
-Full-time providers only
-Locum-to-permanent opportunity available

Call Schedule
-Weeknight Call: Approximately 1 night per week (4:30 PM–8:00 AM)
-Weekend Call: One weekend every 6 weeks (Friday 4:30 PM–Monday 8:00 AM)

Practice Details
-EMR: Epic
-Adult patient population
-Approximately 8 patient encounters per week

Responsibilities include:
-Managing established patients and 2–3 new patients
-Reviewing labs and routine follow-ups
-Evaluating abnormal lab results
-Developing treatment plans
-Managing bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral and infusible iron therapy, oral chemotherapy, and hormonal agents
-Treating patients with solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, including breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, neurologic, thoracic, and hepatobiliary cancers

Requirements
-Board Certification required
-Active Massachusetts medical license required
-ACLS and BLS certifications required
-DEA required
-Minimum of 2 years of experience

Credentialing
-Standard credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
-Emergency privileges will be requested to support an August start
