Physician - Hematology/Oncology - Massachusetts

Job description

• Support staff: 5 MDs, 1 assigned nurse, APP support
• Coverage Type: clinic + call
• Fulltime provider only. August start is ideal but not required.
Working 4 days a week and 1 admin day. Monday-Friday; 8a-5p (8hrs).
There is a locum to perm opportunity.
Due to continuity of patients, client needs 1 fulltime provider to help in the interim of perm recruiting.
• Weeknight Call: 4:30pm- 8am for about 1 night per week.
• 24hr Weekend call: 4:30pm starting Friday—8am ending Monday.
• It is 1:6 weekends so about 1 weekend call shift about every 6 weeks.

• EMR/Charting Software: epic
• Avg. Daily Census: about 8 patients per week – Mon-Thus
• Patient Age Group: adult

- The locum would see existing patients and 2-3 new patients. There are 8 total patient encounters per week. There are 5 other MDs in the practice. The locum is assigned 1 nurse and there is APP support as well.
- Locum would be: Managing labs, routine follow ups, new patient, abnormal labs, work up treatment plans, seeing patients with bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, Oral and infusible iron management, Oral chemotherapy, Hormonal agent management, solid tumor and hematologic malignancy: Breast, Head & Neck, GI, GU, GYN, Neuro, Thoracic, Hepatobiliary
