Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed in Northampton, MA | Outpatient | Locums-to-Perm

Job description

This is a full-time outpatient hematology/oncology opportunity at an acute care hospital in Northampton, Massachusetts, covering while a permanent provider is recruited - a locums-to-perm role. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p, with four clinical days plus one admin day, over a flexible 26-week engagement. Call is scheduled, running roughly one weeknight per week and about one 24-hour weekend shift every six weeks. Credentialing runs approximately 90 days, with emergency privileges possible, and travel is provided (flight, hotel, rental car).

The practice is an outpatient oncology clinic serving adult patients, with roughly 8 patient encounters per week including 2-3 new patients. The physician manages labs, routine follow-ups, new patients, abnormal labs, and treatment plans, spanning bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral and infusible iron management, oral chemotherapy, and hormonal agent management, across both solid tumor and hematologic malignancies (breast, head and neck, GI, GU, GYN, neuro, thoracic, and hepatobiliary). The role is supported by five other physicians, an assigned nurse, and APP support, with documentation in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology, with a Massachusetts license, ACLS, BLS, and DEA, and at least two years of experience.
