Assignment Details:

Start Date: August 10, 2026 or upon credentialing
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Schedule: 4 days per week, no call
Monday: 8a–12p clinic, rounding afterward
Tuesday: AM rounding only
Wednesday: AM rounding, 12p–6p clinic
Thursday: 8a–12p clinic, rounding afterward
Friday: 8a–4p clinic
Practice Setting: Hospital/Outpatient Clinic
Patient Population: Adult
EMR: Epic
Support Staff: Oncology pharmacist, nurse navigator, oncology RN, onsite radiation therapy, and infusion center

Work Details:

Average clinic volume:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8–10 patients
Friday: 16–20 patients
Supervise APPs
Special procedures and responsibilities:
Chemotherapy supervision and orders
Bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Management of oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Genetic testing and counseling coordination
Treat a wide range of malignancies including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, melanoma, and other skin cancers
Manage benign and malignant hematologic conditions including sickle cell disease and coagulopathies
Oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, blood transfusions, and growth factor support

Requirements:

State License: Missouri license required (IMLC accepted)
Board Certification: Board Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology required; no exceptions
DEA: Required
Missouri BNDD: Required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Experience: 2 years preferred
Vaccinations: Influenza vaccine or approved waiver required
