Job description

Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an urgent locum tenens opportunity in New York! Flexible block scheduling with full-week coverage preferred and a well-supported clinical team.

Opportunity Highlights:

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, Monday–Sunday availability

Flexibility: Full weeks preferred; consecutive days encouraged

Office Hours: 8 AM–4 PM

Procedure Hours: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, typically up to 2 procedure days per week

Setting: Office-based patient care, procedures, and hospital consults

Patient Volume: Approximately 15–20 patients

Procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, and esophageal dilation

Support: NP, LPN, and anesthesia support for procedures

EMR: Epic

Requirements: Board Certified in Gastroenterology, active NY license, BLS, ACLS, and recent clinical experience

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience within the past 2 years

Additional: ERCP/EUS cases referred out
