Hematology/Oncology Physician - Full Time - June start

Job description

A well-established medical center in NC is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for a 39-week locum assignment beginning June 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative oncology team within the Cone Health system, serving a high new-patient volume in a supportive outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded Hem/Onc physician who is clinically strong, team-oriented, and able to integrate seamlessly into the culture.

Practice Setting

Outpatient medical center

On-site lab

2–3 exam rooms

LPN clinical support staff

Dedicated infusion site

On-site Radiology & Cardiology

Urgent care services available

Full-service imaging center

Full pharmacy on site

Note:

Does not treat acute leukemia patients

No pediatric patients (pediatric and acute leukemia cases are transferred)

Patient Population & Volume

Adults 18+

15–18 patients per day

High new patient volume

Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (Required)

North Carolina License (Required; willing to license)

IMLC Accepted (participating January 1)

BLS Certification

DEA Required

1–2 years minimum experience
