Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed in Reidsville, NC | Ambulatory Clinic | No Call | 4- or 5-Day Schedule

Job description

Start: November 16, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 39 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Ambulatory hematology/oncology clinic
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, 7:00-17:00 (10-hour days)
Call: No call
Volume: Minimum 15 patients per day, primarily hematology
Case Mix: Approximately 60-65% hematology with mild monthly fluctuation; benign hematology focus with a general oncology component
Practice Setting: Ambulatory oncology clinic, adult patients

Support: Nurses, nurse navigator, admin support, pharmacy, 1-2 physicians, APPs, and an infusion specialist - provider is not working solo. See new patients and manage follow-ups in the ambulatory setting, write orders and prescriptions, communicate and coordinate with pharmacy, and complete timely documentation in Epic (assessment required before start).

Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology - only one required, double-boarded preferred
- Must be Board Certified in Oncology if seeing oncology patients
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience
- North Carolina license required
- DEA required
- BLS required
- Epic assessment required before start
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 60-90 days
