North Carolina Hem/Onc Locums - Four-Day Week + IMLC Considered

Job description

Aya Locums is working with a North Carolina Hematology/Oncology program looking for ongoing physician coverage beginning in late December.

The schedule is four days per week, either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. They are looking for meaningful continuity and would like a physician who can provide coverage three to four weeks per month over an approximately six-month assignment.

This is an adult Hematology/Oncology practice with a strong focus on benign Hematology along with bread-and-butter Hem/Onc. Responsibilities include seeing new and established patients, managing treatment plans, writing orders and prescriptions, and coordinating with pharmacy and the broader clinical team.

Current volume is approximately 15-25 patients per day. Epic is used for the EMR.

Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is required. A North Carolina license is preferred, but physicians with an active IMLC pathway will be considered. A clean background is important because of the credentialing timeline.

The current need is scheduled coverage without call.

If North Carolina is not quite right, I would still like to hear from you. I work with Hem/Onc physicians across the country and would rather learn what would make locums worthwhile for you - schedule, geography, clinical mix, call and compensation - so I can bring you opportunities that actually fit.

  • Four-day weekday schedule - Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
  • Benign Hematology focus with bread-and-butter Hem/Onc
  • Six-month ongoing need with IMLC physicians considered
