Hem/Onc Physician needed in Ohio - May 2026 start + 6 month contract!

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Oncology/Hematology physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a dynamic, team-oriented practice. This role includes a balanced mix of inpatient consults, infusion support, outpatient clinic care, and call responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, EPIC proficiency, and experience across both inpatient and outpatient oncology/hematology settings.

Position Details

Schedule:

3 days/week providing:

Inpatient consults

Infusion coverage (via phone and EPIC in-basket)

Outpatient clinic

Weekday call

1 weekend/month of locum call coverage

Currently in-person, with potential transition to phone-only call in the future

Clinical Expectations:

Patients per day: ~16

Patient population: Adults, 18+

Departments: Medical Oncology & Hematology

Practice setting: Medical Oncology Clinic

Special procedures: None required

Hospital & EMR:

EMR: EPIC

Required Qualifications:

Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology

Demonstrated experience with:

EPIC EMR

Outpatient oncology clinic care

Inpatient rounding

Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Ability to manage infusion-related issues remotely via phone and EPIC in-basket
