Hematology / Oncology Physician – Locums

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to provide scheduled clinical coverage only at a well-supported practice in OR. This is a full-time locums opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and no call outside clinic hours.

📅 Schedule & Coverage

Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (includes lunch 12:00–1:00 PM)

FTE: 4 days per week

Call: Limited to clinic hours only (included in regular schedule)

Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

Providers Requested: 1

Support Staff: Yes

Infusion Suite: Onsite, same clinic suite

EMR: Epic

👥 Patient Volume & Responsibilities

Patients per Shift: Approximately 15

Manage a panel of established and new patients

Provide clinical guidance to APPs and nursing staff

Sign chemotherapy orders; nursing staff administer treatments

Be available to respond to infusion reactions and urgent clinical needs until rapid response arrives

Bone marrow biopsies unlikely to be required

Licensure: Active Oregon medical license required

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS
