Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a brand-new Hematology/Oncology practice while working alongside an employed physician in a growing community-based program.

Assignment Details
Location: Lewisburg, PA
Assignment Length: Through March 8, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Coverage Requirement: Full-time preferred (4 days per week may be considered)
Call: Shared 1:2 weeknight and weekend call rotation

Practice Setting:
New Medical Oncology & Hematology practice opening September 2026
Clinic located within a 131-bed hospital
Adult patient population only (18+)
EMR: Epic

Patient Volume & Case Mix:
Approximately 10 patients per day initially, with anticipated growth
Community-based Hematology and Oncology practice
Mix of:60% Oncology 40% Hematology

Support Team: 2 Front Office Staff, Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, Patient Navigator, Additional support personnel

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC
DEA required
