Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed in Lewisburg, PA | New Practice | Optional Call | Travel Covered

Job description

This is a hematology/oncology opportunity at a newly opening medical oncology and hematology practice at a community hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The contract runs October 12, 2026 through March 8, 2027, as a full-time role (four days per week is acceptable). The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p, plus optional weeknight and weekend call at a 1:2 ratio. The target practice opening is September 8, 2026, credentialing runs approximately 90 days, and travel is covered.

The practice is a community-based clinic located inside the hospital, plus inpatient consults when needed. The case mix is general oncology and hematology, roughly 40/60 heme to onc, seeing about 10 patients per day with volume expected to grow, for an adult population. The role is well supported, with two front office staff, an RN, an MA, and a navigator, alongside one full-time employed physician already hired. Documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology, with an active Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ, and a DEA.
