Locums – Physician – Hematology/Oncology, Rhode Island (North Providence Region)

Job description

Specialty: Hematology & Oncology
Start Date: 12/01/2025 (ASAP preferred)
Coverage Type: Scheduled + On-Call

Shift & Schedule

Shift Type: Day

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Structure:

4 hours outpatient clinic

4 hours inpatient rounding

Rounding: 1–2 hours daily depending on consult volume

Coverage Frequency: 1 week per month

Call Requirements: Night beeper call

Work Details

Outpatient Volume: 18–22 patients/day

Inpatient Volume: Varies by consults

Procedures: Biopsies as needed

Setting: Split inpatient + outpatient

EMR: 80% paper-based, 20% EMR (Meditech)

Requirements

Board Certification: Hematology/Oncology required

State License: Active Rhode Island license & DEA required

Emergency privileges available

Experience: Not specified (standard qualifications implied)
