Assignment Overview

Start Date: March 2026 (ASAP upon emergency privileges)

Coverage Type: Scheduled + On Call

Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Schedule

Clinic Coverage:

Wednesday & Friday

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

16 total scheduled hours per week

Inpatient Rounding:

Daily rounding 1–2 hours, based on consult volume

Call Coverage:

Weeknight Call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Weekend Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Additional inpatient weekday and weekend coverage may be required

Patient Volume

Outpatient: 18–22 patients per day

Inpatient: Varies based on consult volume

Clinical Responsibilities

Inpatient consults and rounding

Outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic

Procedures: Biopsies as needed

EMR

Meditech

Approximately 80% paper / 20% EMR

Requirements

Board Certification: Hematology/Oncology required

License: Rhode Island license required

Emergency privileges available

DEA: Required

Degree: MD or DO
