Hematology/Oncology Locums in Providence, RI | M-F Clinic + Daily Rounding | Travel Covered

Job description

Start: September 28, 2026 (temporary privileges available for an earlier start)
Length: 26 weeks
Coverage: Full-time outpatient clinic with daily inpatient rounding (1-2 hrs based on consult volume)
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:00 clinic
Call: Night call 17:00-08:00; 1-2 24-hour weekend calls per month (07:00-07:00); 3 hours gratis
Volume: Outpatient 18-22/day; inpatient varies with consult volume
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital - clinic + inpatient consults
Procedures: Biopsies as needed
EMR: Meditech (approx. 20% EMR / 80% paper)

Outpatient hematology/oncology evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Inpatient consults and daily rounding
Perform office-based biopsies as appropriate
Timely documentation in Meditech (with paper workflows as needed)

Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Rhode Island license, DEA, and CSR required (open to licensure - client will wait)
Able to function in a mixed paper/EMR environment
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only); flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

8:00-16:00 clinic, Monday-Friday
Daily rounding: 1-2 hours (consult-dependent)
Call: nightly 17:00-08:00 plus 1-2 weekend 24-hour calls per month

Travel, airfare, lodging, and car rental covered.
