Hematology/Oncology Physician Needed in Big Stone Gap, Virginia

Hematology/Oncology locums opportunity in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
This is a full-time, long-term need offering a mix of clinic, inpatient consults, and call coverage.

Balanced Hem/Onc Practice: Treat both Hematology and Oncology patients across affiliated locations

Opportunity Details:
Full-time coverage
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30am–4:30pm
One week of 24-hour call per month
24-hour call shifts run 8am–8am
Clinic responsibilities continue during the call week
Primarily a float position between two affiliated locations
Inpatient consultations as needed
Additional tele-consult coverage during assigned call week
Approximately 15 adult patients per day
Hematology and Oncology patient mix
Dedicated nursing support
6-chair infusion satellite at one location
21-chair infusion center with onsite Radiation Oncology at the primary location
Epic EMR

Requirements:
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Active Virginia license required – must be in hand
DEA required
BLS required
Minimum 1 year of experience
Clean background required with no malpractice history
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60 days
