Facility:
This is a community hospital with an established outpatient oncology center that is stroke certified. The oncology practice features a well-staffed, supportive team environment including 3 permanent Hematology/Oncology providers, 6 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 6 office staff, ensuring providers join an existing team rather than providing solo coverage.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinical services within an established oncology center
• 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day depending on patient volume
• 12-15 patient encounters per day
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Light beeper-only call covering established patients only, averaging 2-5 calls per week via phone consult with a 1-hour response time required
• EMR system used is Aria
• Board certification or board eligibility required; fellowship required
• Active Virginia medical license required
• ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days; temporary privileges may be available for qualified candidates
• Start dates include 9/8/2026 - 10/30/2026 and 11/16/2026 - 11/22/2026 with an ongoing need
• Apartment available for lodging
• Nearest airports are GSO (Greensboro) and RDU (Raleigh-Durham); driving in is preferred
