Locums Hematology/Oncology Physician - Summer Coverage

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens assignment in beautiful Bellingham, WA, to help cover a gap in care while a permanent provider is out. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative and well-supported outpatient cancer care center serving a high-need patient population.

📅 Assignment Details:
Start Date: July 2025

End Date: Through September 29, 2025

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call: 1 weekend/month + 1–2 weekday calls (24hr)

Setting: Outpatient only – no rounding or admissions

Patient Volume: Average of 20 patients/day

Patient Demographics: Adult population with a high volume of breast cancer cases

EMR: EPIC (must be proficient)

You’ll work alongside a collaborative team including:

Medical Oncologists

Radiation Oncologists

Palliative Care providers

Experienced ARNPs

📋 Requirements:
Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology

WA medical license required (due to expedited credentialing)

BLS Certification

Comfortable managing breast cancer cases

• WA license required
• Short drive from Seattle and Vancouver, BC.
